WATCH: Mohammad Siraj traps Bairstow in front of the stumps, dismisses the wicketkeeper batsmen for 38

England were standing at 53/3 at the start of Day 2 after losing the precious wicket of their skipper Joe Root. Root was bowled out by Umesh Yadav in the final few overs of the game on Day 1. Dawid Malan and nightwatchman Craig Overton were batting at the end of play on Day 1.

On Day 2 of the fourth test at Kennington, Oval team India picked up two early wickets of Craig Overton and Dawid Malan. Umesh Yadav dismissed both the players in the first hour on Day 2. India were all over England but Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow came to rescue the English innings. Pope and Bairstow stitched a 77-run partnership. At Lunch break, Pope was batting at 38 and Bairstow was batting at 34.

Just after the lunch break Mohammad Siraj dismissed Jonny Bairstow for 37 runs. Siraj trapped Bairstow just in front of the stumps. Siraj bowled a in swinger and Bairstow played in the wrong line and gets struck in the front pad. Bairstow opted for a review. Only the bounce of the Oval tract could have saved the wicketkeeper batsmen. But that wasn’t enough though. The HawkEye showed three letters ‘OUT’. England lost their review and Bairstow was sent to the dressing room.

England are presently trailing by 17 runs. Moeen Ali and Ollie Pope is batting at the crease. Ollie Pope is batting at 60*(105) while Moeen Ali has just opened his account with a four after 55 overs.
