MS Dhoni who is also called ‘Captain Cool’ for his calm temperament on the pitch. But there have been instances in the past when Dhoni has lost his cool. One such incident happened in yesterday’s clash against Mumbai Indians in the 2nd innings of the game.

The incident occurred in the 18th over of the game when Mumbai Indians were chasing down the total. CSK were all over Mumbai as MI needed 42 runs off 15 deliveries to take away three points. Mumbai Indian’s last recognized batsmen Saurabh Tiwary was well set on the pitch when he tried to scoop Deepak Chahar’s delivery and directed the ball towards the leg-side but he could not execute the shot properly as it took the leading edge of his bat and went high up in the air. Dwayne Bravo was at short fine leg and at some point, it looked like it’s going to be a sitter for the Windies all-rounder. But MSD with his gloves on ran all the way to take the catch. But an unfortunate miscommunication between the two meant that neither of them could hold the ball in their hands. MS Dhoni dropped the ball from his hands.

MS Dhoni was seen fuming at Dwayne Bravo after the drop catch. Dhoni was very disappointed and mouthed some words which were directed towards Bravo. It was a rare incident to see Dhoni expressing emotions but it is understandable considering the fact that it could have been the turning point of the match. The drop catch did not cost CSK the match as MI fell short of 20 runs. Saurabh Tiwary scored an unbeaten 50 runs off 40 deliveries but could not win the match for his side.
After the match was over, MS Dhoni was seen talking with Bravo with his hands around Bravo’s shoulders.
Bravo’s cameo helped CSK reach a total of 156 after their top order failed miserably in the powerplay. Bravo scored a quickfire 23 off 8 deliveries and also picked up 3 wickets with the leather. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored an unbeaten 88 runs because of which he was awarded the man of the match award as well.
CSK have topped the points table after yesterday’s victory with 12 points in 8 matches.
