MS Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has always been fond of his cricket bats and has been spotted repairing them before important matches.
Recently, Dhoni was seen working on a new bat, possibly preparing it for the upcoming IPL 2023 season. CSK has shared a video on social media of the team’s training camp at Chepauk, where players such as Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu were seen playing some impressive shots ahead of their first match against the Gujarat Giants on March 31.
CSK has made some noteworthy signings for this season, including the addition of England’s Ben Stokes, who may be considered as a future captain after Dhoni.
The return of Deepak Chahar has strengthened their bowling attack, but with Dwayne Bravo retired and Kyle Jamieson injured, it remains to be seen who will replace them.
There is speculation that this could be Dhoni’s last IPL season, and fans are eager to see him bat higher up the order, possibly even at No. 4. Judging by his performance in the net sessions, it seems likely that he will continue to impress with his timing and skill.
