The coin flipped in favor of SRH and like every other team they decided to field first. It looks like there’s some affection with chasing in UAE as most of the captains opt to do so by winning the toss. SRH made no changes to in their playing XI while PBKS came up with three changes.
Punjab Kings did not have a good start to their innings as both the openers were shown their way back to the pavilion in the 5th over. Rahul scored a run a ball 21 while Mayank Agarwal scored 5 runs off 6 deliveries. Chris Gayle did not impress with the bat too as he was dismissed for 14 runs. It looked like SRH bowlers are all over the PBKS batsmen.

A lot was expected from Nicolas Pooran when he came out to bat in the 11th over. Pooran was trying to hit Sandeep from the very first ball but was unable to get the desired result. Just after spending some moments on the pitch Nicolas Pooran smashed a six off Sandeep Sharma’s delivery in 3rd ball of the 12th over. Sandeep bowled a delivery right in the slot and Pooran smashed it over deep mid-wicket for a huge six. In the very next delivery Sandeep Sharma dismissed Nicolas Pooran. After being smashed for a six, Sandeep went for a change in pace, used his favorite knuckle ball. Pooran did not time the ball well as it hit the toe end of his bat and went straight towards Sandeep. Sandeep somehow got hold of the ball in the 2nd attempt. Pooran was extremely disappointed with himself as he throws his head back and takes a long walk to the pavilion after scoring 8 off 4 deliveries.
Nicolas Pooran has left Punjab in huge trouble. Punjab have lost both their West Indian power hitters.
