Several players from the Indian men’s cricket team have tied the knot over the last few months, making it a busy wedding season for the team. Joining this list is fast bowler Shardul Thakur, who will be getting married to his fiancé Mitali Parulkar on February 27.
Thakur and Parulkar have been good friends for a long time and got engaged in 2021. The couple was supposed to get married after the T20 World Cup held in October 2022, but the wedding was postponed.
Thakur was recently spotted enjoying his haldi ceremony, where he danced to the famous Marathi song ‘Zingaat’ with his family and friends. A video of the ceremony has gone viral on social media. The wedding ceremony will take place in Mumbai, and around 200 to 250 guests are expected to attend.
After the wedding, Shardul Thakur will rejoin the Indian cricket team for the three-game ODI series against Australia. The series will commence on March 18 in Mumbai, followed by the second ODI in Vizag on March 19, and the final game will take place in Chennai on March 22.
