In the penultimate league match of the WPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians faced off against each other. RCB has had a tough time in the tournament so far and chose to bat first. However, they were unable to maintain a good run rate throughout the innings and finished with a total of 125/9.

Mumbai Indians began their chase with luck on their side as RCB missed a few catches. The batter also had a stroke of luck in the second over of the innings, which proved to be her luckiest moment.

During the second over of the innings, Sophie Devine delivered a full ball outside off to Matthews. The West Indian batsman attempted to hit the ball over long-on but failed to do so, resulting in an edge that was easily caught by the wicketkeeper. The umpire deemed the batter out, but the plot thickened when the umpires checked for a no-ball.

It was discovered that the bowler had overstepped, and the delivery was deemed a no-ball. As a result, Matthews was given another chance to continue her innings. This incident did not go unnoticed on Twitter, and many found the moment amusing.
