It is not unknown to the masses that Sunrisers Hyderabad have long ago been eliminated from the race to the playoffs in IPL 2021. However, the fight to prove that they are not a finished team yet, is still on and will probably go on till the very last game of the current edition of the tournament. That was what they ‘tried’ to do today. They lost the match against KKR as expected after a poor first innings performance with the bat, but they tried to change things till the very last ball and that is the beginning of any process.

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson has failed to impress in the Indian Premier League this season to everyone’s surprise. His lack of form comes just a month before the commencement of the much awaited T20 World Cup which will be played in Qatar and Oman and his form will be a thing of concern for New Zealand fans. Willaimson’s captaincy has also been questionable. Although he has been much better than what David Warner was at the start of the season, he has still been below par.

Yet, Kane Williamson made it to the headlines tonight, unfortunately due to the wrong reason. He had quite a discomfort while taking a catch as the Spidey cam was just above him and was blocking his vision. It resulted in him fumbling and he had almost dropped the catch but managed to secure it in his hands at the very end moment.

After standing up, Kane Williamson pointed up at the camera to explain what caused him the trouble when Bhuvneshwar Kumar came in to celebrate. A video of the same has been published on IPL’s official site.
