Smith’s peculiar facial expression in response to a delivery from Mohammed Shami has gone viral on social media.
After the lunch break, in the 29th over, an incident occurred when Shami bowled a good length delivery just outside the off stump. Smith intended to leave the ball, but he ended up being slightly late, and the ball narrowly missed the off stump.
Immediately after letting the ball go, Smith gestured how close the ball was to hitting the stumps. The cameraman captured this moment perfectly, and the ICC posted the video of this incident on their Instagram. The video quickly went viral, and people are enjoying it and commenting while watching the video.
However, after the lunch break, when the match resumed, in the first ball of the 25th over, Mohammed Shami clean bowled Labuschagne, showing him the way back to the pavilion. Labuschagne scored 26 runs with the help of 3 boundaries in his 62-ball innings.
After his dismissal, Travis Head walked in at the crease. He immediately adopted an aggressive approach. When Shardul came to bowl the 44th over, Head hit a boundary on his last ball, completing a half-century in just 60 balls. This is his 14th career half-century and 15th against India.
