The New innovations “The Hundred” by the ECB gaining it’s popularity in the first season itself. The tournament going strong with some serious cricket played over last 4 weeks. The finale will be played on 21 August, Saturday at the Lord’s.

With Birmingham Phoenix advanced into the finale by beating Northern Supercharger yesterday. After winning the toss the Birmingham Phoenix skipper Liam Livingstone opted to field first in the big semifinale. The Northern Supercharger scored 143 in the 100 ball all thanks to Tom-Kohler-Cadmore for his brilliant 71 from 44 ball and Chris Lynn also scored 34 from 25 ball.

With no major support from the other batter the Northern Supercharger able to score only 143 in the Hundred ball which is below par score according to pitch and the batting line-up of Birmingham Phoenix led by Liam Livingstone. For Birmingham Phoenix Livingstone and 2 wicket each for Milne and Howell.

While chasing a target of 144,David Willey got Will Sneed straight away for a duck. Then it’s all about the skipper of Birmingham Phoenix Liam Livingstone, the English All-rounder smashed 92* runs from 40 ball with 3 fours and 10 huge sixes, A fan took a stunning catch in the crowd and the other fans in the stadium got stunned. The fan took a blinder falling down from the seats, undoubtedly one of the best Crowd Catches of all-time. The incident happened in the 16th ball of Birmingham Phoenix innings when Liam Livingstone hitted a six over long off for a huge six.

Birmingham Phoenix chased the target in just 74 ball woth 26 balls remaining and advanced to the finale of the inaugural season of “The Hundred”. Apart from Liam Livingstone sensational 92* the kiwi opening batsman Finn Allen also scored 42 from 26.
