On Day 3 of the Dominica Test, the West Indies made an effort to regain their footing in the match by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ajinkya Rahane. Nonetheless, before departing after an impressive century on his Test debut, the young opener had already caused significant damage.

Jaiswal received widespread acclaim for his outstanding hundred, but the spotlight soon shifted to Virat Kohli, who won the hearts of cricket fans worldwide with a touching gesture.

During the 126th over of the innings, bowled by Alzarri Joseph, Yashasvi faced the final delivery. The pacer delivered a slightly back-of-a-length ball, angling away from the left-hander. Yashasvi attempted to drive it through the off-side, but the ball caught a faint edge and went straight into the wicketkeeper’s gloves.

The talented youngster’s superb innings came to a close, leaving him visibly disappointed for falling short of a double century.

As the left-hander made his way back to the pavilion, Kohli showed his appreciation by patting his helmet. This gesture did not go unnoticed by Twitter users, who flooded social media with praise for Kohli.
