CSK skipper MS Dhoni has opted to field first in the 44th match of the 2021 edition of IPL held at Sharjah. SRH who are out from the playoffs race are currently poised at the last position in the table with 4 points from 10 matches. Meanwhile, CSK are at the top of the table and will surely look to book their spot for the playoffs by grabbing two points against SRH.
SRH did not have the start they would have expected as they lost the wicket of Jason Roy early in the powerplay. Jason Roy who earlier scored a fifty in his debut match for SRH was removed cheaply as he scored 2 off 7 deliveries. However, wicketkeeper batsmen Wriddhiman Saha looks firm on the pitch. At the time of writing Saha is batting at 38 in 38 deliveries and has so far scored one four and two sixes. Saha’s run a ball innings is moving the scoreboard for Sunrisers though at a slower rate.
Skipper Kane Williamson did not stay much longer in the pitch as he was dismissed for a run a ball 11 runs innings. A lot was expected from the skipper who scored a fifty in his previous match.

While searching for wickets, MS Dhoni brought Shardul Thakur back into the attack in the 9th over of the game. In the 3rd ball of the over, Thakur dismissed Wriddhiman Saha. But unfortunately, it turned out to be a no ball as the umpire immediately signaled it. Thakur bowled a short and wide delivery, Saha tamely cut it uppishly and which went straight towards Ruturaj Gaikwad who was standing at backward point. Saha gets a lifeline along with a free hit delivery. Saha tries to make full use of the free hit but only manages to get a double as he lifts it towards the extra cover.
