Indian middle order batsman Ajinkya Rahane ruled out of the final last two Test matches from the ongoing Test series against England. He is out of the series due to broken finger injury in the practice session.

The young talent batsman Manish Pandey will replace him in the Mumbai Test. Rahane is already suffering from his bad form and now the injury will keep out from the matches. He scored only 63 runs in the 5 Test innings of the ongoing series.

As we all know that, the Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is already out of the Mumbai Test due to knee injury. Shami is the leading pace bowler of Team India right now and he took 10 wickets in the ongoing series. His absence might be problem for Team India.

The young Shardul Thakur will replace Mohammed Shami in next Test match. Manish Pandey has 18 international matches experience in limited over cricket while at the other side Shardul Thakur has no experience in international matches.

The BCCI said, “(Our) Medical team confirms that India batsman Ajinkya Rahane sustained an avulsion fracture on his right index finger and has been ruled out for the remaining two Test matches of the Paytm series – 2016 against England.”

“A ball stuck Rahane during the practice session today. Manish Pandey has been included in the team as a replacement for Rahane,” they added.

India has been already 2-0 ahead in this Paytm Test series after 3 Tests. Virat Kohli and his Team will try to win the next Test match to clinch the trophy. Indian Cricket Team is the only team, who didn’t lose any match in this year.

Due to consistent performance, India is already number 1 in ICC Test Ranking. Virat Kohli will also try to get big scores to become Rank 1 in ICC Test Batsmen Rankings. He is now at the number 3 rank.
