The Indian Premier League cricket council has a great news for the comeback team Chennai Super Kings, which team is back in the league after a two year suspension. The IPL Governing Council allowed the both comeback teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royal to retain the players which were on their 2015 Teams.
The BCCI Acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary said,”An IPL Franchise is eligible to secure up to 5 players by virtue of a combination of Player Retention (Pre Player Auction) and Right to Match (RTM) (During the Player Auction).”
“The player pool available for CSK and RR for retention/RTM will be the players’ who played for them respectively in IPL 2015 and who were part of RPS and Gujarat Lions squads in IPL 2017,” he added.
As we all know that the both teams were suspended in 2015 due to the involvement of their owners in the spot fixing. Now the both champion Teams are ready to back in the action in the 11th edition of this league.
