After the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a three-match ODI series will be played between India and Australia from March 17. However, before the start of this series, some bad news has surfaced. A key player has been ruled out of the entire series due to an injury.

Not only that, but this player may also be out of IPL 2023. This player is a part of the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL. Mumbai Indians are already struggling with the problem of injured players.

Australian fast bowler Jhye Richardson has been ruled out of the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series between India and Australia due to injury. According to ESPNcricinfo, Richardson may also miss the IPL 2023 due to a hamstring injury.

Richardson sustained an injury during the Big Bash League (BBL) and has not played cricket since pulling up during his hamstring on January 4. It was hoped that he would be fit to participate in the Marsh Cup or Sheffield Shield Trophy, but that has not been possible.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been struggling with an injury for some time now. He is not part of Team India in the ongoing Test series against Australia either. He has now gone to New Zealand to undergo a back surgery. It could take him three to four months to recover. Therefore, it is being considered certain that Jasprit Bumrah will be out of IPL 2023.

If Jhye Richardson is also ruled out of this season, then it could be a difficult situation for Mumbai Indians. Richardson has played cricket in all three formats for Australia. He has taken 11 wickets in 3 Test matches, 27 wickets in 15 ODIs, and 19 wickets in 18 T20 matches for Australia.
