The Indian opener batsman Murali Vijay finally ready to back in the action after a long interval due to injury. He was injured during the Test series against Australia in March this year. After that he missed the couple of series and also missed the 10th edition of Indian Premier League.

Murali Vijay is set to play the ongoing Tamilnadu Premier League (TNPL) tournament. But he also confirms that he is still recovering from his injury and not 100% fit till now. Vijay was selected for the ongoing test series against Sri Lanka, but ruled out of the tournament due to fitness problem.

Vijay said,”It’s an absolute pleasure to get back into action. To be honest, I don’t feel 100% yet, but mentally I’m up there. Hopefully ,I can start from the TNPL and build from there on. Once I am fully fit, I will be informing the BCCI.”

“It’s just my mindset and my injuries, which I have to manage properly from now on. Any cricket is fantastic for me because I enjoy playing cricket and it’s an excellent opportunity for me to start my second innings,” he added.

Murali Vijay has been always a performer for Indian Cricket Team in the test matches as an opener. But in his absence the current opener Shikhar Dhawan is playing brilliantly so far. So, it will be a great challenge for the team management, when Vijay will be 100% fit and ready to dominate again for Team India in test matches.
