Ravichandran Ashwin takes it to social media to troll a particular news agency; the spinner denies the rumors

After Virat Kohli decided to step down as India’s T20I captain after the ICC T20 World Cup, news have been floating all over the net that a senior Indian player complained to the BCCI secretary about the current Indian skipper.

Kohli decided to share the news through his social media handle stating the reason as workload. However, he will continue to lead team India in the other two formats. Kohli also decided to step down as the captain of RCB after the conclusion of the ongoing season.

A news agency named IANS (Indo-Asian News Service) recently claimed that the senior Indian cricketer is none other than India’s veteran off spinner-Ravichandran Ashwin. It stated that the cricketer was feeling ‘insecure’ about his place in the team. Ashwin took it to social media to hilariously comment about the media reports that were floating in the net lately. He specifically called out the news agency IANS for spreading false rumours.

“I am searching for the handle called “Fake News”, it used to be super fun for Gossip,” Ashwin wrote. His followers revealed the origin of the news reports and Ashwin continued his trolling.

“Oh yaaa!! Thank you guys. Found Them: I just heard they have renamed themselves and are now called IANS and some others take quotes from them too. Super fun,” he added.

Sources also claimed that skipper Virat Kohli had some issue with the selectors over the addition of Ravichandran Ashwin to the squad. Kohli wanted to go with leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal for the upcoming ICC event. Some rumors are flowing that Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane spoke to the BCCI secretary about the same issue.
