As we all know that Ravindra Jadeja is suspended for one match due to breach of the ICC Code of Conduct in the second Test against Sri Lanka. The another young left arm spinner Axar Patel will be replace the Ravindra Jadeja in the third Test against Sri Lanka. It will be a huge opportunity for Axar Patel to play the third Test.
BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary said,”The All-India Senior Selection Committee on Tuesday named Axar Patel as the replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in the team for the 3rd Test, which starts from August 12, 2017, at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.”
Axar Patel was the part of ‘India A’ in a recent triangular series, Where the team India won the final game against South Africa ‘A’ by a margin of seven wickets to retain the Tri-series trophy after four years.
The Indian team has already won the series as they won the first two Test matches of this series. India won the first Test by a huge margin of 304 runs, while easily won the second match also by another huge margin of an innings and 53 runs.
