Sean Williams withdraws his Retirement letter to play for Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe cricketer Sean Williams had announced publicly back in November 2020 that he would retire from International Cricket after serving the 3 months notice period that has been laid in the rules of the cricket board of that nation. He had also submitted a letter to Zimbabwe Cricket regarding the same. In a shocking turn of events, however, Sean Williams has now decided to withdraw his retirement to continue playing for the Zimbabwe National team.

Zimbabwe Cricket had reportedly always been disappointed with Sean Williams’ sudden decision to quit his duties. However, now that Williams has decided to withdraw his retirement, the Mood at Zimbabwe Cricket is lightened up to begin with. Sean Williams now reportedly wants to see the 10 month that is left of his central contract and will think of retirement only after that.

34-year old Sean Paul is one of the most important players in the current Zimbabwe squad. He is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm slow orthodox bowler. He is an absolute legend for Zimbabwe and has shined in almost all the formats in which he played. In international tests, he scored 1034 runs in just 14 test matches and 3589 in 136 deliveries in One Day International cricket. In the matches he played in, Sean Paul also has 21 test wickets and 72 ODI wickets as a bowler.
