Opting to field after winning the toss, Sanju Samson entrusted Trent Boult with the new ball. The Kiwi speedster wasted no time in exploiting the lateral movement, causing discomfort for the right-handed batsman with a delivery that struck him in the groin in the very first over.
After a couple of dot balls, Boult bowled a fourth delivery that landed perfectly on a good length, angling inwards from around the wicket, catching Fraser-McGurk off guard.
Despite attempting a forceful shot down the ground, the batsman only managed to edge the ball onto his inner thigh, resulting in visible pain and discomfort.
