Jasprit Bumrah has just given one of his best batting performances in his career in the ongoing first test between India and England and has given the visitors a decent enough lead to build upon. The Indian tail-ender stepped forward when he was needed the most and just nailed it. He played a brilliant knock of 28 off 34 and gave India the extra bit of runs of which they seemed to be in dire need. Meanwhile, the Indian fans have gone bonkers on Social media and are celebrating Jasprit Bumrah’s comeback.

After the second day of the ongoing test being washed off by rain, the Indian batsmen returned to the pitch afresh on Day 3 and they started off well. KL Rahul, who was already playing brilliantly, went on to score 84 runs which helped India to diminish the trail. Ravindra Jadeja on the other hand, played a sensational knock of 56 off 86 and took India past England’s score at ease, blazing through the English bowlers.
However, when all of India’s dependable batsmen had been packed, it was Jasprit Bumrah show. The tailender showed his wit and patience and went on to score a much needed 28 runs in just 34 balls. He unfortunately got dismissed by Stuart Board bringing an end to India’s innings, but the essence of this extra bit of runs will be understood in the last phases of the match.

Jasprit Bumrah was equally phenomenal with the ball as well on Day 1 and 2. He was India’s highest wicket taker in the first innings and picked up as many as 4 wickets. It will be true to say that the first test between India and England has been pretty much a Jasprit Bumrah Show.
