Delhi Capitals bounced back from their eight-wicket loss to Mumbai Indians in style during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) on Saturday, defeating Gujarat Giants by 10 wickets at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.

After choosing to bat, the Giants struggled and only managed to put 105/9 on the board, despite Kim Garth’s unbeaten 32. Marizanne Kapp was the standout performer with the ball, taking 5 wickets for just 15 runs and receiving support from Shikha Pandey and Radha Yadav.

In reply, the Capitals chased down the total with ease, thanks to Shafali Verma’s blistering unbeaten 76 off just 28 balls, which included 10 fours and five sixes.

The Giants’ bowlers were all expensive, and the Capitals reached 87 within the first six overs without any loss of wickets. Meg Lanning contributed with an unbeaten 21 off 15 balls as well.
