Nepal enjoyed a successful day on the field as the bowling-friendly conditions played to their advantage. In contrast, South Africa struggled with the bat, with only Reeza Hendricks managing a notable score of 43 from 49 balls.

Dipender Singh Airee took three wickets and Kushal Bhurtel claimed four, restricting South Africa to a modest total of 115/7 in their 20 overs.

South Africa’s bad luck continued in the field, epitomized by Kagiso Rabada’s critical dropped catch of Aasif Sheikh. On the fifth ball of the second over, Rabada delivered a full-length ball just outside the off-stump.

Aasif attempted a lofted shot, sending the ball high into the air. Confident of an easy catch, Rabada called for it early. However, as the ball descended, he fumbled it despite having plenty of time to get into position.

The ball slipped from his hands, drawing laughter and criticism from the Twitterverse over Rabada’s overly confident attempt that resulted in a costly error.
