The Delhi Capitals’ decision to bat first after winning the toss didn’t go as planned, with their top order collapsing despite a strong start of 67 runs in the powerplay.
Despite a few fielding errors, the KKR bowlers kept the pressure on, limiting Delhi to 112/8 by the 15th over. With KKR in control, Mitchell Starc failed to maintain momentum as Kuldeep Yadav unexpectedly contributed valuable runs, aided by some sloppy fielding from Harshit Rana.
In the 16th over, after just a single off the first four deliveries, Starc delivered a short ball that Kuldeep pulled over deep square leg for a six, thanks to a slight touch from Rana’s hand.
Rana tried to save it but ended up deflecting it over the boundary. Shortly after, Starc bowled a delivery down the leg side that the keeper couldn’t block, resulting in five wides.

This was followed by a low full-toss that Kuldeep flicked towards deep square leg for a four. As Kuldeep took on the highly-priced player of the tournament, the Twitter community erupted in excitement.
