Sunrisers Hyderabad, hosting Royal Challengers Bangalore in their home ground, managed to post a competitive total of 186/5, thanks to an impressive century by Heinrich Klaasen. While they aimed to surpass the 190-run mark, Mohammed Siraj’s excellent bowling in the final over prevented them from doing so, earning him accolades for his economical performance.

However, Siraj ensured that he wouldn’t go unnoticed by missing a straightforward run-out opportunity on the second-to-last ball, much to the amusement of his teammates.

During the last over of the innings, Siraj was bowling to Glenn Phillips, who failed to connect with a delivery aimed at the leg side. Perplexed by the ball’s direction after hitting his pads, Phillips instinctively started running for a single.

However, a few steps down the track, he realized his mistake and hurriedly retraced his steps to the crease. Unfortunately for the batter, Siraj swiftly collected the ball while he was still away from the crease. In such a straightforward run-out chance, the batter should have been dismissed, but Siraj’s fielding blunder denied him that opportunity.

His lapse in the field brought about surprised smiles from Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis. The incident caught the attention of Twitter users, who shared their reactions on the social media platform.
