KKR won the match by 6 wickets with two balls to spare. Shubham Gill’s valuable contribution of 57 off 51 deliveries helped KKR win comfortably over Hyderabad.

Upon winning the toss, SRH skipper Kane Williamson chose to bat first. However, his decision did not go according to the plans as SRH managed to put up 115/8 after the completion of 20 overs. SRH are already out of the playoffs race winning two in 12 games so far. KKR are in need of a victory to keep their hopes alive for playoffs qualification.

While chasing down the total, KKR lost in-form batsmen Venkatesh Iyer who managed to score 8 off 14 deliveries. Rahul Tripathi fell off soon after coming to bat at no. 3. But Shubham Gill was standing firm on the pitch. He was constantly scoring boundaries and moving the scoreboard for his side. Eventually he fell off to Siddarth Kaul after scoring a fifty.

In the 18th over of the match, Jason Holder was brought back into the attack. KKR needed 17 off 18 deliveries at that moment. In the fourth ball of the over, Nitish Rana pulled a short ball away from his body towards the midwicket region for a four. The ball bounced just before the boundary lines. Rashid Khan misjudged the catch as he was running in instead of running sideways. The ball went on to hit the camera which was right behind the boundary ropes. The ball hit the lens and it breaks into pieces straightaway.
