The first match of the ODI series between India and Australia is being played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India’s regular captain, Rohit Sharma, is not playing in this match, which is why Hardik Pandya is leading the team in his place.

Hardik Pandya has decided to bowl first after winning the toss. The Indian team includes four fast bowlers, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and captain Hardik Pandya. Spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav have also been included in the playing eleven.

Smith’s attempt to cut a wide-length ball from Hardik Pandya proved to be his undoing as he edged the ball to the waiting hands of Rahul for an easy catch. Despite being a captain himself, Smith was unable to capitalize on his start and would undoubtedly be disappointed with his performance.

While the delivery from Pandya wasn’t exceptional, it was enough to send Smith packing. Rahul’s impressive catch was a clean one, with both hands securing the ball.

Earlier, In this match, Australia got off to a very poor start in the first ODI. On the last ball of the second over, number one ODI bowler in cricket, Mohammed Siraj, bowled Travis Head and showed him the way back to the pavilion.
