The ongoing IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals has become highly intense due to a fierce war of words that occured between KKR pacer Tim Southee and DC all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin has lately drawn himself into various controversies and this is yet another scenario in which he did the same.

But what exactly happened during the match that led to the aggression between the two players? Well it all started when Tim Southee took the wicket of Ravichandran Ashwin on the very first delivery of his fourth over, or better yet, the very last over of the match. Ashwin had scored just 9 runs and departing that early, he looked dejected without a doubt. As he was walking out of the field towards the dugout, Tim Southee took a dig at the all-rounder which very clearly frustrated Ravi Ashwin and made him very angry. Tim Southee probably said something in Ashwin’s ears deliberately to infuriate him and it worked magically. Ravi Ashwin was having none of it and he fired back at the Kiwi pacer.

Ravichandran Ashwin turned back and faced Southee face to face. It gave rise to a fierce exchange of words between the two players in the middle of the pitch and the other players and the umpires had to come to separate them.

Ravi Ashwin then walked out of the field but one thing was for sure. He wasn’t going to leave Tim Southee so easily. He would definitely be more motivated than ever while bowling in the second innings against KKR, and if the chance comes, he would live to teach a lesson to Ravichandran Ashwin.
