Given the batting opportunity in an away game, the Royal Challengers Bangalore made a strong start with 53 runs during the powerplay.

Openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis maintained the tempo, hitting boundaries and rotating strikes effectively. However, amidst the usual action, Riyan Parag stole the spotlight with an outstanding display on the field.

In the 13th over, Ravichandran Ashwin delivered a full-pitched ball at 92.7 km/h just outside the off stump, which Kohli flicked towards cow corner.

Dhruv Jurel made a long run from deep midwicket and managed to half-stop the ball, but it was Parag, converging from long-on, who made a remarkable effort to prevent a boundary.

Despite Jurel’s initial intervention, Parag spotted the ball rolling towards the ropes and executed an impressive leap to retrieve it, saving valuable runs. Twitter users were impressed by Parag’s athleticism, and here are their reactions.
