The Caribbean Premier League 2021 has been off to an amazing start with almost all the league stage matches proceeding to a cliff-hanging and a thrilling end. The athleticism, excitement and events of the matches are breaking all bars and last night’s match between Barbados Royals and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots was no different.

In fact, this might very rightfully be called one of the most exciting matches of the Caribbean Premier League 2021 so far which had perfect demonstration of the sheer muscle power and monstrous energy that the Caribbean batsmen possess. The showstopper of last night, however, was not a batsman but a bowler Sheldon Cottrell. Yes, the guy with the military salute celebration who made famous among the Indian fans during his tenure at Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings.

Sheldon Cottrell started off his IPL career with Punjab Kings very well but proved to be highly expensive in his overs after a few matches and was later dropped from the team. However, the Caribbean Premier League might just be his shot at redemption, not as a bowler but as an allrounder.

Sheldon Cottrell plays for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL 2021. Coming in to bat first, the Royals put up a target of 161. The target seemed to be pretty hard to achieve for the St Kitts. The match went up to the last ball where the Patriots needed a boundary (4 runs) off the last ball to win. However, Sheldon Cottrell had other plans. He finished off in style by hitting a massive six off the last ball to win the match for his team. St Kitts and Nevis Warriors won the match by 2 wickets, a very narrow margin indeed.
