RCB spinner Yuzvendra Chahal dishes out an incredible performance for his side after being ignored by the Indian team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
Royal Challengers Bangalore turned the game against Punjab Kings and won the match by 6 runs. With this loss, Punjab are out of the playoff race. They have only a game to go with 10 points from 13 matches. PBKS have a very poor run rate. With this win, RCB have booked their berth for the playoffs and are currently poised at the 3rd position with 16 points from 12 matches.

Batting first RCB imposed a target of 165. Glenn Maxwell finished the innings in a high by scoring 57 off 33 runs which included 3 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 172.
While chasing the target, PBKS got off to a flying start. Openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal scored 49 runs at the end of the powerplay without losing a wicket. The two scored 91 runs for the opening wicket before KL Rahul was removed by Shahbaz Ahmed. Mayank Agarwal should have carried the innings forward once KL Rahul was dismissed. But the latter could not handle the pressure.

Yuzvendra Chahal helped Royal Challengers Bangalore bounce back in the match. He picked up 3 wickets by conceding 29 runs in his four over spell. He dismissed Mayank Agarwal, Nicolas Pooran and Sarfaraz Khan.
Sarfaraz Khan was Chahal’s latest wicket. Chahal bowled a sharp leg break delivery. The ball pitched on the middle and leg and dismantled Sarfaraz’s off stump. Sarfaraz’s Khan’s defense was broken and the player was staring at the pitch in disbelief. The 23-year-old was playing his first match of the season and he was dismissed in the first ball for a golden duck. He did not play any competitive cricket in the last six months and it looked like he came in the pitch without any practice.
