As the anticipation for the ICC World Cup 2023 builds, there has been much speculation regarding the favorites to clinch the trophy this time around. We turned to Google AI (Bard) for its insights, and it highlighted five top contenders – India, England, Australia, Pakistan, and South Africa.

Explaining its selections, Google AI provided its reasoning: “India holds the top ranking in ODI cricket globally and enjoys the advantage of playing on home turf, which is a significant asset. England, as the defending champions, boasts a formidable batting lineup, while Australia consistently proves to be a strong contender with its wealth of experience.”

Regarding its choices of Pakistan and South Africa as contenders, Google AI stated: “Pakistan, known for their ability to shine on any given day, possesses several match-winners. South Africa has demonstrated strong cricketing performances in recent years and maintains a well-balanced team.”

While acknowledging these five favorites, Google AI also recognized New Zealand and Sri Lanka as teams capable of posing challenges to them in their quest for the world championship title.

In conclusion, Bard noted: “It’s important to remember that the Cricket World Cup is known for its unpredictability, and surprises are always possible. Nevertheless, based on current form and rankings, the aforementioned teams appear to be the most likely candidates to secure the title.”

Hosts India will commence their campaign in the World Cup 2023 by facing Australia in Chennai on October 8.
