1.Yuvraj Singh’ six sixes off Stuart Broad silenced Andrew Flintoff

India were facing England in the first edition of 2007 T20I World Cup. Just before the 18th over of the game Yuvraj and Flintoff engaged in a heated argument. Yuvraj looked annoyed by Flintoff’s words.
Stuart Broad came to bowl in the 18th over and what happened next was history written on books. Yuvraj Singh scored six sixes off Stuart Broads over and became the first Batsman in the history of Cricket to do that. Yuvraj eventually smashed a fifty in just 12 balls which is till date the fastest half century in international cricket. Yuvraj eventually created two records. India reached to a massive first innings total of 218 and eventually secured a win by 18 runs.

2. Venkatesh Prasad vs Aamer Sohail

India and Pakistan met in the second quarter final in the 1996 World Cup. Every time the arch-rivals meet some sort of entertainment unfolds in the pitch.

India had up a huge total of 287 in front of the visitors at M. Chinnswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Their opening duo Aamer Sohail and Saeed Anwar had put up a great show. Anwar scored 48 runs and Sohail scored a fabulous half century. The then Pakistani skipper was looking good and scored a boundary off Venkatesh Prasad in the 15th over of the game. After smashing a four he tried to intimidate Prasad by pointing his bat at the same region. However, Venkatesh Prasad replied by smashing his wicket, bowling him out in the very next delivery. India sealed the victory by 39 runs.

3. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s savage reply to journalist about his future plans

During the end of MS Dhoni’s cricketing career the captain cool was often asked about his future plans. However, the Indian skipper is known for his calmness but he loses his calm sometimes when the media asked ridiculous questions about his future. He often looks annoyed.

A similar incident occurred when India lost to the Windies in the 2016 T20I World Cup final. Dhoni was answering the questions in the post-match conference when an Australian journalist named Samuel Ferris asked ‘Mahi’ about his plans for the near future.
In order to make some fun out of the journalist, MS Dhoni told the journalist to come and sit beside him.

Journalist: Do you think you can continue playing on after this tournament?
Dhoni: Come here! Come please let’s have some fun. Please come.
Then Dhoni proceeds to ask: You want me to retire?
Journalist: No! No!
Dhoni: I was hoping it was an Indian media guy, because I can’t really say if you have a brother or a son who can play for India or is a wicketkeeper. But do you think I am unfit?
Journalist: No.
Dhoni: How is my running?
Journalist: Very fast
Dhoni: You think I can survive until the 2019 World Cup?
Journalist: Sure, yes!
Dhoni: Then you’ve answered the question you fired the wrong ammunition at the wrong time.

4. Saurav Ganguly’s reply silenced Geoffrey Boycott

The Indian fans can never forget the 2002 NatWest Trophy final where the Indian side found themselves victorious in the final over of the game. The then Indian captain-Sourav Ganguly was seen taking off his shirt in the Lord’s Balcony out of total joy.
The same year Andrew Flintoff was seen taking his shirt off in a match against India in Mumbai. Saurav Ganguly has been asked about his act time and again and it looks like the former Indian skipper is not at all proud of his embarrassing act.

Former England cricketer Geoffrey Boycott was present in the commentary box along with ‘Dada’. Boycott tried to pull Ganguly’s leg and said: You must mention your experience of taking your jersey off and flying it in the air at the Mecca of cricket – Lord’s! Ohh, you naughty boy!

Saurav in reply said: “One of your boys (referring to Flintoff) also took off his jersey here in Mumbai.”
“Yaa, but Lord’s is the Mecca of cricket”, Boycott said.

Sourav Ganguly said: “Lord’s is your Mecca, Wankhede is ours.”

5. Sreeshanth vs Andre Nel

Sreeshanth’s five wicket haul restricted the Proteas to 84 in the first innings of the first test of India’s tour of South Africa in 2007 held at Johannesburg.

In India’s second innings Sreeshanth came on to bat in the number 10 position. Not much was expected off the Indian tailender bowler. South-African fast bowler Andre Nel said something to Sreeshanth and bowler a bouncer. On the very next delivery Sreeshanth came down the line and hit a straight six. After reaching the non-striker’s end, Sreeshanth was seen dancing in front of the Proteas bowler.

6. Tim Paine vs Ravichandran Ashwin

India were chasing down a humongous total of 428 put up by the home team in the 3rd test of India’s tour of Australia in 2020/21. When Ravichandran Ashwin came on to bat India were stuck at 272/5 and the home team’s win looked certain.

India were fighting for a draw with Hanuma Vihari and Ravi Ashwin on the pitch with 50 overs left for the final day of the test match to end. Pat Cummins was bowling pinpoint Yorker’s and Nathan Lyon was spinning the ball from the rough. But the Aussies were finding it hard to break the defense of the Indian duo and were looking for a wicket like mad dogs.

Then came Australia’s captain-Tim Paine and tried to help his side by sledging the Indian batsmen. “Can’t wait to take you to Gabba, Ash” – Paine had told Ashwin, referring to the venue of the fourth Test. However, Ashwin hit him back by saying – “Just like we wanna get you to India, maybe your last series.” India went onto draw the match and interestingly, the fourth Test at Brisbane saw the visitors walking away with a historic three-wicket win.

7. Andrew Flintoff and Tino Best

West Indies were chasing down a massive total of 478 in the 1st test of West Indies tour of England in 2004. When the Caribbean fast bowler Tino Best arrived in the pitch, the Windies were 7 down with 200 on the board. England’s victory looked certain at that time so Andrew Flintoff decided to have some fun on the pitch.

Flintoff was fielding in the slips and was constantly provoking the batsmen to go for a big hit. Tino Best was eventually forced to do so. He stepped out of the pitch off left arm spinner Ashley Gile’s delivery and missed the ball completely and was immediately stumped by the man behind the stumps.

8. Ravi Shastri vs Mike Whitney

Ravi Shastri opened the innings for India in the 2nd test match of India’s tour of Australia in 1991/92 series. Mike Whitney, the then Australian fast bowler was on the pitch as a substitute fielder.

Shastri hit the ball towards Mike with his willow and took a quick single. This prompted Whitney to say – “Stay in your crease or I’ll break your fucking head”. Shastri in reply said: “If you could bowl as well as you talk, you wouldn’t be the fucking 12th man!”.

9. Jimmy Ormond vs Mark Waugh

Jimmy Ormond was making his test debut in the fifth test of the Ashes in 2001 at Kennington Oval in London. The debutant was welcomed with some fine words from the other side.

Mark Waugh was the man in action this time. “Look who it is. Mate, what are you doing out here? There’s no way you’re good enough to play for England,” he said.

Ormond in reply said: “Maybe not, but at least I’m the best player in my family.” Ormond meant to say that Steve Waugh is a better player than him.

10. Virat’s reply to Faulkner

Virat Kohli was batting well in the third ODI of India’ tour to Australia in 2016. Kohli was looking good and India were all set to put a massive total in front of the Aussies in their home soil.

In order to break Kohli’s concentration, James Faulkner tried to involve himself in a verbal battle with the then ODI vice-captain Virat Kohli. Faulkner tried to break his calm but Kohli came up with a savage reply and the left arm bowler had nothing to say.
“You’re wasting your energy. There’s no point, I’ve smashed you enough in my life. Just go and bowl, “said Kohli. The stump microphone recorded the Kohli’s words.

Kohli went on to score 117 runs in that match and India had put a massive total of 295 in front of the home team. But Australia sealed the victory by three wickets.
