Rajasthan Royals’ young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has produced a cracker of a performance in the most recent match that he featured in. However, the performance did not come for the IPL franchise but for the Mumbai team that travelled to Al Amerat Cricket ground in Oman to play their first ODI against the hosts, Oman.

Mumbai won the toss and opted to field first. The visitors were very well able to create pressure upon the hosts with their tight fielding and lethal pace attack, which they were successful in by a great extent. Apart from their opener Khawar Ali (52 off 73) and Khalid Kail (76 off 85), none of their batsmen rose up to the occasion. The two batsmen helped Oman reach a competitive score of 196 runs. Oman were all out in just 48 overs.
Coming on to open for Mumbai, Yashasvi Jaiswal never seemed to have any doubt and he started to play on the frontfoot from the very first ball. He went up to play a phenomenal knock of 82 off 79 balls and his partnership with fellow batsman Hardik Tomore, was quintessential in the match for Mumbai. Because of the duo, Mumbai sealed the match in just 44 overs.

Some of the shots that Yashasvi Jaiswal played en route to his 82 runs knock, have been praised by Netizens. Especially the one in which he hit the bowl out of the park for a six, shocking everyone including the bowler himself.
His sheer power and amazing timing is being applauded by fans all over the world. The youngster will hope to maintain this exact form in the upcoming second phase of IPL 2021-22 as well.
