The third test between India and England has so far been dominated by England in almost all the aspects. However, the Indian players have given their fans a glimmer of hope then and now to show that they are still in this game. Such was the case with Indian opener Rohit Sharma during the initial phases of India’s second innings at Headingley stadium.

Two of India’s key pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami did their work perfectly in the initial overs of Day 3 by picking up the remaining 2 wickets of England moments after the day started. It was then the duty of India’s batsmen to put up a decent target on the scoreboard and they started off pretty well.
Despite losing opener KL Rahul too early just like in the first innings, his counterpart Rohit Sharma and in at 3 Cheteshwar Pujara took good care of India’s innings. One particular shot played by Rohit Sharma against English pacer Ollie Robinson is being talked about the most, simply because of its class and amazing timing.

In the second delivery of the 15th over while facing Ollie Robinson, Rohit Sharma played a classy uppercut to hit a beautiful six which was worth every penny of the live spectators. It was Rohit Sharma’s first six of the innings and what a way to start!
Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant Fifty but had to unfortunately depart after scoring 9 more runs,i.e, at the 59 runs mark. Ollie Robinson finally got the revenge of that six by picking up the Hitman’s wicket.
