Indian Team Announced For the Sri Lankan T20I Series

The BCCI has announced the squad for the Twenty-20 International series against Sri Lanka. The regular captain Virat Kohli is rested for the entire series and the opener batsman Rohit Sharma is named as skipper of the team. Earlier Rohit was also appointed as the captain for the ODIs as well.

The youngsters Mohammed Siraj. Deepak Hooda, Basil Thampi and Washington Sundar are the new names in the T20 squad. Shreyas Iyer has retained his place in the squad, who was also the T20 part of Team India during New Zealand series.

As we all know that the skipper Virat Kohli was eagerly waiting a rest from the cricket, as he is playing continuously in all the formats. He said,”It’s humanly impossible to maintain the same kind of intensity for a player who plays all three formats. Definitely, I do need a rest. When I think that my body needs to be rested, I’ll ask for it. I am not a robot you can cut my skin and check, I bleed.”
