Jason Roy’s old tweet is going viral on the net after his fifty in his debut match for SRH today against RR. Earlier in the month of February, Jason Roy expressed his grief for not being picked by any franchise in the auctions. Roy whose base price was Rs.2 crores went unsold in the auctions.

Jason tweeted and wrote, “It’s a shame that I will not be able to participate in IPL this year, but I want to congratulate all those who were bought during the IPL auction. Especially the ones that got the highest bids. Would be nice to see the tournament.

However, a month later Roy was taken included in SRH squad in place of Mitchell Marsh who opted out of IPL due to personal reasons.

Roy made his IPL debut in 2018 for Delhi Capitals. Skipper Shreyas Iyer included him in his team in 2019. However, he was ruled out of the tournament before it began owing to injury issues.
