Head is bowled by Siraj! What seemed like an inevitable outcome has occurred, with Mohammed Siraj claiming an early wicket yet again. The Hyderabad-based paceman has once again demonstrated his skills.

He delivered a length ball that was faster than previous deliveries and pitched it outside off. Head attempted a drive away from his body, but the ball swung late, inducing an inside edge that sent the ball crashing into his middle stump.

Earlier, Indian captain Hardik Pandya have won the toss and elect to field first in the first One Day International match against Australia. Although Rohit Sharma, the usual captain, is absent, Hardik Pandya appears to be just as comfortable in his role as deputy for limited overs in Team India.

The absence of captain Pat Cummins and fast bowler Josh Hazlewood will be felt by Australia, but they will rely on the seasoned pair of Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa to provide their bowling prowess. With Steve Smith, David Warner, Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, and Glenn Maxwell, their batting lineup is strong.

India has opted for a bowling attack of four fast bowlers and two spinners, namely Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav.

As for Australia, Alex Carey has departed due to illness, leading to Josh Inglis taking his place. Additionally, David Warner’s fitness is still not at 100%, thus Mitch Marsh will take up the opening spot in the batting order.
