In the ongoing 3rd Test against India, Usman Khawaja made an incredible diving catch to his left, dismissing the dangerous Shreyas Iyer. Team India’s skipper, Rohit Sharma, won the toss and chose to bat.

India’s opening batsmen, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, took the crease as Australia missed a chance to review the dismissal of Rohit Sharma off Mitchell Starc’s bowling. However, Rohit Sharma could only manage 12 runs before being dismissed by Matthew Kuhnemann.

Shubman Gill also fell soon after, scoring 21 runs. In the following over, Nathan Lyon bowled Cheteshwar Pujara, cleaning his stumps. Nathan Lyon and Matthew Kuhnemann then took back-to-back wickets of Ravindra Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer. Virat Kohli played well for a while before being dismissed by Todd Murphy.

The lower order batsmen, Srikar Bharat and Axar Patel, were not able to make much of an impact, scoring only 17 and 12 runs respectively. In the end, Umesh Yadav hit some big sixes to help India reach a total of 109 runs.

With such a low target, Travis Head and Usman Khawaja opened the innings for Australia. Ravindra Jadeja claimed the first wicket for India, dismissing Travis Head for just 9 runs.
