The 2nd leg of the 2021 edition of IPL is back with CSK facing their arch rivals MI at The Dubai International Stadium in UAE. MS Dhoni led CSK won the toss and elected to bat first. MI are without their captain Rohit Sharma and their star all rounder Hardik Pandya. Kieron Pollard is MI’s stand in captain for today. Besides that, Moeen Ali, Dwayne Bravo and Josh Hazlewood are included in the starting XI. Sam Curran misses out today’s high voltage clash.
With Hardik and Rohit missing out today’s clash it looked like CSK are the favorites to win the match. But it turns out that MI are all over CSK right from the start. Trent Bould and Adam Milne’s early strikes have reduced CSK to 7/3 after the completion of the first three overs.

Trent Boult struck in the first over by dismissing opener Faf Du Plessis for a duck. Adam Milne then gets hold of Moeen Ali who hits the ball towards Saurabh Tiwary at the covers region. Ali gets dismissed for a duck as well.
But things went from bad to worse after Ambati Rayudu gets hurt on his left elbow. A lightning quick delivery from Adam Milne strikes straight into Rayudu’s forearm who was without a guard. Rayudu tried to duck and gets hit by Milne’s delivery. He immediately goes down to the ground. Rayudu looked in great discomfort. He gets the attention of the physios immediately. After a long discussion with the medical team, Rayudu makes his way to the dugout.

Trent Boult was right on the money after bowling at 140+ kmp throughout the over.
When Rayudu came out to bat at No.4 CSK were struggling at 2/1. Rayudu faced three deliveries and was unable to score a run.
Suresh Raina walks in after Rayudu makes his long walk to the pavilion. Just after hitting a boundary Raina gets out off Trent Boult’s delivery. MI have dismantled CSK’s top order and it looks like UAE is an unlucky venue for the yellow army.
