Former Team India captain and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has officially announced that a biopic is being made on him and it will be released soon. We have previously seen biopics on cricketers like Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mohammad Azharuddin while a documentary was made on Sachin Tendulkar. Sourav Ganguly will soon become the latest addition to that list.
Sourav Ganguly took to twitter to announce this wonderful news. He revealed that famous bollywood director Luv Ranjan will be directing the film. Luv Ranjan has previously directed famous movies like Pyaar ka Punchnama, De De Pyar de and Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety. The film about Ganguly will be his entry into the biopic world. As to who will play the role of Sourav Ganguly in the movie, is still unknown. It will be produced by Ankur Garg.

Sharing the news on twitter, Dada wrote, “Cricket has been my life, it gave confidence and ability to walk forward with my head held high, a journey to be cherished. Thrilled that Luv Films will produce a biopic on my journey and bring it to life for the big screen @LuvFilms @luv_ranjan @gargankur @DasSanjay1812”
Immediately after Sourav Ganguly made this announcement, an old video of him went viral in which he was being asked a very interesting and futuristic question. He was asked if in future his biopic is being made, who will be the best actor to suit the role. In reply, Sourav Ganguly said that “I like Hrithik Roshan very much”. Many fans are of the opinion that Hrithik Roshan will be playing Sourav Ganguly’s role but nothing has been ascertained yet. But this much is sure that the movie will be a box office hit.
